NFL Veteran & Owner of TNT Performance Facility 

Owner of TNT and Former NFL Veteran Tom Nelson joins us for Episode 5 of Talking Perspectives. Tom is currently the Founder and Director of TNT Training in Mount Prospect, Illinois, Chicago. 


Tom takes us through his journey of founding TNT, a high performance training facility equipped with strength and conditioning, indoor football and indoor track and its continuous evaluation. Tom goes deep on his NFL career as a journey man, from Combine Prep, being an Unsigned Free Agent, a TV star on HBO’s “Hard Knocks” during his rookie season, injuries, being cut from rosters and much, much more.

Australian Bobsleder 

Joe Williamson joins us for Episode 4 of Talking Perspectives. Joe is currently competing for Australia in the 2 Man Bobsled, with aspirations of competing at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.


Joe touches on his transition into a non traditional sport, his S&C training, some of the highs and lows of training as an elite athlete and the sacrifices it takes to not only compete on the world stage, but win.

Div 1 Student Athlete Life 

Courtney Murphy joins us for Episode 3 of Talking Perspectives. Courtney is currently entering her Junior Season at Seattle University, where she is the starting Shooting Guard on the Division 1 Basketball Team. 


Courtney discusses her journey to getting a full scholarship in the US and some of controversial rules and regulations that surround NCAA. We run through a typical day in the life of a student athlete, from class, to training and study to travel and game day activities. 


This episode is a must listen to aspiring female athletes, particularly those who are interested in the college system in the US fans of the game and anyone genuinely interested in High Performance Sport.

TODD CARNEY

More Than The Surface

Todd Carney joins us for Episode 2 of Talking Perspectives. Todd is a retired NRL player after playing 11 seasons of first grade for the Canberra Raiders, Sydney Roosters and Cronulla Sharks before an off field incident ended his career in Australia. 


Todd openly talks about his journey as an NRL player, the highs and the lows while addressing important topics such as the roles of the media, player managers and endorsements, pay and a lot more. Post his NRL career, Todd has focused owning several successful businesses in a variety of industries, becoming an author with his book “The Hard Truth”, coaching the next crop of talented players around Australia and focusing on quality family time.

JESSE WILLIAMS

Servant Mentality 

Jesse Williams joins us for Episode 1 of Talking Perspectives. Jesse is a retired NFL Champion with the Seattle Seahawks, 2x NCCA Champion with Alabama and Kidney Cancer Survivor. 


Jesse talks about his unique journey to the NFL as a proud Torres Strait man, some of the stories thought Junior College, Division 1 College and the NFL and how one day changed the rest of his professional sporting career. Post NFL, Jesse returned to Alabama to become a Strength and Conditioning Coach with a servant mentality to serve the next generation of talent. Jesse now lives back home in Brisbane, Australia working heavily in Sporting Mental Health and telling stories though photography.
